I will be speaking at the Essex UFO and Paranormal Group on Friday the 2nd of October 2026. My talk will be entitled: Helen Duncan and the Witchcraft Trial. In 1944 the psychic medium Helen Duncan was put on trial under the two hundred year old Witchcraft Act of 1735 because she was accused of defrauding the public by staging a fake séance. Was she really a fake medium? Or was something more complicated and furtive going on, something related to espionage and wartime security?
