False Doors

 

False doors are features of a building, supposedly ornamental, which look like doorways, but there is no real door behind them. They lead nowhere. Behind them is just a blank wall or natural rockface. They are usually very ancient and are particularly common in Egypt. According to a variety of contemporary sources, the purpose of these doorways was to allow the Ka, a dead person's spiritual essence, to pass from our universe into the afterlife realms. It is quite common for tourists to stand in these doorways and have their photographs taken in there. False doors are occasionally found elsewhere, such as Etruscan tombs on Sardinia. They probably have the same function there. I am interested how there appears to be a modern scientific and/or heavy industrial equivalent at CERN. A false door may have been built close to the Large Hadron Collider that looks like a door to nowhere, but sometimes an interdimensional portal can appear, see: https://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.com/2025/08/the-phantom-scarf-stealer-of-old-cern.html. For this reason, I think approaching false doors of any kind should be treated with caution. We don't know if the portals might materialize again suddenly while you're standing there and swallow you up. Don't have nightmares! If you take a trip to Egypt, enjoy it; such tragedies are extremely rare. However, it's worth taking a few precautions. Stay in pairs or in a group. People who vanish tend to do so alone. This, additionally, keeps you safer from the more conventional risks, such as getting lost or being targeted by criminals. If you have your photo taken in a false door, make sure there are a lot of people close by and at least some of them keep you in their vision at all times.
