The Dark Side of the Empath

I came across a brilliant article in Parhlo World, posted by somebody called Amanda Greene, that is about empathic disorders and it is painfully perceptive. It is also respectful to empaths and tries to break down the stereotypes we're often associated with. It is illustrated by four remarkable photographs of empathic women that portray them as charismatic, powerful and thoughtful. There is not a dove or fluffy bunny in sight. The photographer and the post's author have achieved this effect while remaining totally free of the toxic stench of feminism.

I don't often use this cliché, but the above is a must-read. It's not very long, but it says such a lot in such a poignant, comprehensive and intelligent way.
