GB News EVP

GB News is really the British equivalent of News Nation. It's a typical independent three-digit freeview news channel that was founded in 2020, quite recently. It has attracted a lot of controversy over the years that I've covered before, for example: https://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.com/2024/05/gb-news-vs-ofcom.html. Like News Nation, it is not scared to delve into the world of the arcane, but it might have recently done just that inadvertently. On the 1st of this month a train from Doncaster to London had to make an unscheduled stop at Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire because a man wielding a knife had gone on a rampage, stabbing the passengers and crew. The police arrested him and ambulances rushed to the station to treat the victims. Ten people were injured, most with life-threatening injuries. GB News reported on it and I like their style because, unlike the BBC and most mainstream outlets, they don't immediately start politicizing crimes like this; but then something strange happened. In the middle of a video segment narrated by a reporter, a whispering feminine voice can clearly be heard saying the words: "The train never stops." It appears at 5:46 in this recording: https://youtu.be/4ZdKjYjWtcE?si=g74Jalx5JQNvE2Fb&t=344. The reporter, Mark White, does not appear to hear it. When I first watched this I didn't notice it; and in fact I covered the stabbing incident on this Third Rail Radio episode without mentioning the voice: http://hpanwo-radio.blogspot.com/2025/11/third-rail-radio-programme-227.html, which is ironic considering that project has itself experienced something similar, see the background links below. What happened sounds to me like an electronic voice phenomenon. EVP is one of the most common kinds of paranormal phenomena, but it is also one of the most inexplicable. Most EVP's are vague and full of noise, possibly being only interpreted as a voice afterwards, but this one is very clear and articulate; that's quite rare. I'll write to GB News and ask because I'm curious to know if this voice is unique to the YouTube upload or whether it also can be heard on the original broadcast tape. I'll write a follow-up if they reply.
