I think People in power whether it be a parish council or the government of the United States of America, always have as their most treasured objective, the need to protect the particular agency they work for. This is followed closely by the desire to cover their own ass. I would argue that the 2 are intimately linked in that, by protecting their agency, they are also covering their own ass. I also think that there is a possibly sincere and well intentioned sense of duty which many high ranking officials feel towards the public, but this is intimately mixed with an ever present and thinly veiled attitude amongst the British and American Governments in particular, that the public are generally quite stupid and in need of being controlled, for their own good. The kind of thing that Robin Aitken was taking about in his book about the BBC ‘’The Noble Liar”. People in power believe we need to be lied to and manipulated for our own good. We could never handle the truth, there would be chaos. Just look what happened when H.G. Wells radio adaptation of “The War of the Worlds” was broadcast to the nation; utter panic ensued. Amplify that to an actual world wide disclosure and the complete breakdown of society is not an unreasonable prediction to make. Therefore my own personal suspicion is that no Western government would want us to know what they actually know about UFOs (and indeed, many other subjects). Unless that is, there was some reason or situation in which disclosing would be useful to them in distracting us from something else which they perceive could be even more harmful to the power and influence of the Government, or more precisely, to the people at the top of the Government. Covering one’s own ass at all costs is a fundamental aspect of human nature, call it a flaw or a survival mechanism, but it is there and is always going to be there. So all I would say is to look not at what they are telling us (or not telling us), but why they are telling us (or not telling us). Self preservation will be the prime motivating factor.

Ben, Steve, HPANWO mobsters all.....
A month ago Myself and Ben were guests on a show with our friend Tere.
Immediately after the Tere show Ben started getting droiked out the wazoo but in my case it was people in my real life who are nothing to do with YouTube that started being cyber-stalked. Something similar happened after my appearances on Erika Lukes.
Personally I don't care if idiots say I'm the second coming of Genghis Khan, but it got serious with innocent parties being targeted and I can't have this happening. I have closed my channel and emails as a consequence because it has never gone this far before. Neither Myself or "Charles" will be on SM hereafter so if you are contacted in my name than it's a faux account.
As a my last message to the glorious - if sometimes unhinged - HPANWO mob, if Ben ever starts to turn sceptic then in heavens name stop him. The tinfoil hat of Falstaff'ian Buffoonery and the Pulverising Corked Hat of the Mumbling Bulldozer are Two streams that should never be crossed otherwise Zuul will manifest and destroy the earth. It's the way of things.
Waste no opportunity to say "ABSOLUTE RUBBISH" (drivel, piffle and spruike are equally valid) and look after Ben - remember - he is our buffoon and no droike tinged grubby mitts shall touch him.
