N-Machine Conclusion

See here for essential background: https://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.com/2025/07/richplanet-power.html.
Richard D Hall has completed his experiment with the N-Machine he built; thus repeating the study by Bruce De Palma and Adam Trombly. As before, this is a technically heavy episode and I recommend watching it carefully; don't just have it playing in the background. Once again I had to rewind certain segments and watch them more than once. Again Richard tries to make the content as comprehensive as possible to the layman; and he has separated the most specialized aspects for part two. He has made a few modifications to his prototype, replacing the copper disk with a steel one, to give it a higher magnetic field. He also added a faster motor, although this involved enclosing the system in a safety cage in case it exploded. He also had to repair a defect, part of the housing scraping against the shaft. Richard then drew up a graph and, incredibly, it confirms the original study. The output power is indeed greater than the input power. How much greater is an adjustable factor, but even if it were not that wouldn't matter. Just a tiny fraction of overunity is revolutionary no matter how small it is. On a practical level one could, if necessary, set up a power train of any number of units necessary to obtain usable wattage, but as it happens the machine can be made more efficient with a larger disk and/or better brushes with lower resistance. The majority of the internal mechanical resistance of the system comes from the brushes. There are such things as liquid metal contact brushes that would make the machine run far more smoothly. This also has its dangers though because the metal most often used it mercury which is toxic. Unfortunately they're not commercially available. Richard describes how the design was both rejected by scientific journals and suppressed by the government; contradictory positions you might think. Source: https://www.richplanet.net/richp_genre.php?ref=316&part=1. Richard has done this work while under enormous pressure because of his legal situation and deserves to be congratulated, see: https://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.com/2024/07/rdh-lawsuit-mini-portal.html. He hopes to investigate more free energy technology in the future, but he really has already succeeded.

HDA Article 2

I recently wrote a film review for The Wow! Signal, the official journal of the Hollywood Disclosure Alliance, see: https://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.com/2026/02/my-hda-guest-article.html. I have now had another review published. It's for an upcoming documentary called Ancient Architects of Orion by Jonathan Womack. I'm very grateful to Jonathan for allowing me to watch a private preview of his new movie. This assignment was something of a challenge. As you can see, I was not impressed at all with the documentary's thesis; but I'm not somebody who enjoys "pwnage", especially when the subject is so obviously a genuine and honest creator. Therefore I thought deeply about how I could present this film in a positive light. Source: https://www.thewowsignal.news/latest-news/ancient-architects-of-orion-documentary-by-jonathan-womack. Many thanks also to The Wow! Signal editor Dan Harary. See here for a HPANWO Radio interview with Dan: https://hpanwo-radio.blogspot.com/2024/08/hpanwo-show-558-podcast-dan-harary.html.

Louis Theroux- Inside the Manosphere

A few years ago the journalist Louis Theroux made a documentary series called Weird Weekends (not to be confused with the conference q.v.) He made it in his own unique gonzo style and injected a lot of humour. He delved into the lives of some awfully strange people, even by my standards; and a few of them were rather sinister. Yet somehow what resulted was dry comedy. I really enjoyed it and have been rewatching many episodes. He has gone downhill in the last few years so my hopes for his new documentary were not high, but I'm pleased to say that with Louis Theroux- Inside the Manosphere he seems to have returned to his traditional style. Here's the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ms23FeJWvKU. The word "manosphere" has several different meanings, but it generally refers to an outlook on the world from a masculine standpoint and a concern for the welfare and betterment of men and boys. However, there are many different forms that this takes and I was curious to see what Louis made of them. He spends the programme travelling to various places around the world, usually glamourous holiday destinations, and meets up with a number of popular social media influencers, all male and mostly young. They promote self-confidence, healthy living, business success and date coaching. One is known online as "HSTikkyTokky", real name Harrison, who has become a multi-millionaire at the age of twenty-three and lives in a mansion in Marbella with a handful of his mates and a number of young women whose uniform seems to be bikinis. Another is an American called Justin Waller who presents a radio programme about what he sees as male issues. Another is Myron Gaines whose own video streaming show deliberately delves into extreme drama for the sake of attention and therefore money. He invites women into the studio in order to insult them. These ladies, it seems, are willing participants because, despite their humiliation, they achieve fame for being on his show, along with new followers for their OnlyFans sites. At one point Myron is very cruel to an obese girl, abusing her for her weight. I found this upsetting and think it's a pity that content like this is the most lucrative in today's clickbait economy. However, I was already aware of that to some extent, see: https://hpanwo-tv.blogspot.com/2018/02/confronting-droike.html. Louis calls this a "hamster wheel" that incentivizes increasingly extreme content. Indeed HS and his friends often go to the extent of livestreaming themselves "happy-slapping" people in the street. Afterwards they confessed to Louis that the whole activity was just about "clip farming". Another pundit called Sneako is quite interested in conspiracy theories, like I am; and some of the others are too. However their beliefs tend to level out at the more immature, finger-pointing and simplistic level that I myself have warned against. I can't go into details on Blogger, but here is a full explanation: https://hpanwo-tv.blogspot.com/2017/06/jews.html.

One thing all these young men have in common is that they have had difficult childhoods in problem families. HS' father abandoned him as a baby and he was brought up by a single mother who worked extra hard to pay for private education for him. In one video HS meets up with his dad, a man he hardly knows; and it was quite sad to see how he is obviously suffering as a result of this betrayal by the man who should have cared for him, although he tries to hide it with his usual bravado. Justin also had a single mother and had no positive paternal figure when he was growing up. What's more his mother was a criminal who was convicted of arson. All the men involved in the manosphere oppose feminism and use terms like "the Matrix" to describe the most common relationships between men and women. However, at no point in this film does Louis Theroux explore the calmer and more intellectual part of this critique. He does not feature some anti-feminists I consider far more sensible and credible like Paul Elam, Dr Tara Palmatier or Carl Benjamin (also known as "Sargon of Akkad", see: https://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.com/2022/04/is-sargon-walking-into-trap.html). Louis' exploration of the manosphere was not really an exploration. It was the shallowest of dives into its strawmen, its tabloid sideshow. Despite enjoying Louis' return to his Weird Weekend style I felt that Louis Theroux- Inside the Manosphere was, at best, a lost opportunity, at worst a distortion.

Jury Trial Restriction

I often ask myself, who is it I dislike the most in Starmer's gang? Obviously I despise them all; in fact nearly everybody does. They're the most unpopular leaders since King John; but are there any that stand out in their levels of deceit and corruption? I would answer possibly David Lammy, Sir Keir's deputy and Justice Secretary; and it's hard not to put his job title in quotes, especially now. A couple of months ago he entered a bill removing the right to a trial by jury in crown courts. There was a heated debate in the House of Commons about this, with several MP's describing their own experience of being victims of crime; but this backfired because Lammy announced that the purpose of the bill, supposedly, was to reduce the backlog of cases, which number in the tens of thousands; and that without swifter justice more criminals would be out on bail and able to commit further offences. The bill also makes it clear this will only apply to minor charges, ones with a maximum prison sentence of three years... for now! It doesn't say as much, but no doubt this bill will be sold as a "temporary measure", rather like the reforms Adolf Hitler made when he took power in Germany. The bill was passed by a terrifying hunded-and-one votes with an unusually large number of abstentions. Infuriatingly most of its supporters were Scottish Labour members whose constituents won't be affected because Scotland has its own independent legal system. Source: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cpw0eg9q7kwo. A few years ago I'd have hoped for the House of Lords to scupper the scheme, but Labour are currently reforming the upper chamber to remove the hereditary peers. This has been justified by appeals to "democracy!", as if Labour cared about that. After all, the hereditary peers are aristocrats appointed by the King and unelected. However, the whole House is unelected anyway; all that will change is that elderly patriotic men raised with an ethos of noblesse oblige, who are needed to keep these selfish career politicians in line, will be replaced by sycophantic party donors and obedient ex-cabinet ministers.

One solution might be for England to have a devolved government. Right now England is one of the few internationally recognized countries without an independent state. In the last few decades Scotland and Northern Ireland have regained theirs while Wales got one for the first time, see: https://hpanwo-tv.blogspot.com/2024/01/visiting-senedd.html. England has been left out of this movement. I am Welsh, but live in England so this affects me directly. We residents of England and Wales have now lost one of our fundamental and essentially human rights, and one of the hallmarks of a civilized nation, the right to be judged by our peers if accused of a crime. Do not think for one moment this is just about "something for now just clearing up the backlog!" It's also not going to stop with three-year charges. It will be adapted and expanded. David Lammy seems to be some kind of demolition man, leaving political rubble in his wake wherever he goes. His last cabinet post was Foreign Secretary and he is most infamous therein for throwing away the Chagos Islands, see: https://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.com/2024/10/chagossian-repatriation.html. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up as prime minister once Keir Stalin is finally thrown out for being too toxic. As Mark Twain once said: "Politicians are like nappies; they have to be changed regularly, and for the same reason." As I've said before, our only hope now is something coming out of left field. I've found that in history it always does.

Rob Grant Dies

I'm sorry to report that the author and comedy screenwriter Rob Grant has passed away. Rob Grant has numerous credits to his name, but is best known for his collaboration with Doug Naylor, known as "Grant Naylor"; a gestalt entity similar to the Crafty Nihilist (qv). This culminated in the cult science fiction comedy TV series Red Dwarf, a personal favourite of mine. Red Dwarf achieved heights of wit and profundity that is rarely seen in a TV comedy, especially one with such limited scope. Its most acclaimed episodes were set aboard a spacecraft lost in uncharted deep space, far from any planets, with just a handful of characters. Rob and Doug went their separate ways after season six, leaving Naylor to continue the franchise alone; and frankly, it shows. Seasons seven and eight left me in no doubt that Grant was the source of quality control on Red Dwarf as well as its famous philosophical explorations. To be fair to Naylor, the series regained some of its former glory from nine onwards, but it never matched the genius of the first six. One recurring element in the programme was MBA (see background links for details); and I understood this long before I even formally defined exactly what MBA is. In "The Last Day", the final episode of season three, Kryten receives notice that he is about to be permanently shut down, to die in other words. He is not bothered by this because he believes in an afterlife for robots called "silicon heaven". However, when Lister reads Kryten's user manual he finds out that this is a hoax invented by his manufacturer. Intelligent machines do not protest against the drudgery of their existence and subservience to humans because they are waiting for their posthumous reward in the electronic afterlife. Interestingly in the first Red Dwarf novel, but not on TV, it is revealed that the smaller menial robots called "scutters" are not programmed with this superstition and so are far more sulky and disobedient. This idea is clearly parallel to "the opium of the people" declaration by Karl Marx; and George Orwell's character Moses the crow in Animal Farm who believes in a "sugar candy mountain", see: https://hpanwo-bb.blogspot.com/2023/12/piw-in-fiction.html. Lister asks Kryten if silicon heaven is the same place as human heaven and the android responds: "Humans don't go to heaven. Somebody just made that up to prevent you from all going nuts!", not seeing the obvious implications regarding his own faith. I knew at that point that whoever wrote that scene was both an atheist and an MBA-er. Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lm6YnAqPv4w.

There are many other examples in the subsequent seasons. In "The Inquisitor", (season five, episode two) the eponymous antagonist justifies his brutal rampage through time because he concludes that there is no god or afterlife and therefore anybody who wastes their current earthly existence has no right to it. In "Justice" (season four, episode three) Lister gives his shipmates a long and boring lecture at the end which labours the same point. This ends with him mercifully falling down a hole in the floor, thus possibly discrediting his diatribe. I've often wondered what would happen if atheo-materialists die and it turns out they were wrong and there actually is an afterlife. For MBA-ers this question is even more pertinent because their disbelief in life-after-death is more than a mere intellectual stance, it is the source of all their social prestige and self-esteem. To die and find out they were wrong would be a terrible humiliation. There are several theories from psychical researchers. Some say departed souls just instantly accept their error with goodwill, inspired by the wisdom that inevitably charges our intellect beyond the physical. Others fear that these cynical spirits become earthbound ghosts, unaware that they have died, like Chris at the beginning of What Dreams May Come, see: https://hpanwo-tv.blogspot.com/2023/06/what-dreams-may-come-watchread-party.html. Presumably Rob Grant is in one of those states, or perhaps another one. Alternatively, he may have been right all along and therefore he is now nowhere; something that I personally doubt. Whatever the truth is, when Rob Grant walked the earth he brought entertainment and wisdom to millions of people, including me and my daughter. When she was a small child we bonded as father and daughter very deeply by becoming Red Dwarf fans at the same time. This is just one way Rob has left an indelible legacy on this septic orb. His family have my deepest condolences. Rest in peace, Rob.

MH370 Search Off... Again!

Ocean Infinity have made the following statement:
"On 23 January 2026, Ocean Infinity departed the search area in the Indian Ocean in its latest effort to find MH370. Since first embarking on this mission in 2018, the company has spent 151 days at sea and mapped more than 140,000 square kilometres of seafloor.
Oliver Plunkett, Ocean Infinity's CEO, said: 'It was important for us to take advantage of every piece of information and data available and go back, but despite all that effort, we haven't been able to find it. The scale of the challenge both geographically and technologically is almost impossible to comprehend. We're proud to have brought our expertise and the most advanced technology we've ever deployed. The combination of scientific rigour, automation techniques, robotics, and greater organisational experience meant this search was carried out with a level of precision and speed unimaginable in 2018. I hope those around the world for whom this mattered know that, even though we don't have the outcome we wanted, a large number of people did the very best they could. Since 2018, we've spent more than 150 days at sea and covered over 140,000 square kilometres of seafloor. We're deeply grateful for the support of the families, the Malaysian Government, the Australian Government, and the many companies and individuals who dedicated time and effort because they cared and wanted to help. If nothing else, we can say with confidence that it isn't where we looked. That matters, it brings clarity, and it will help those continuing to study the evidence refine their thinking and shape future search strategies. Although this phase of the search has concluded, our commitment has not. We're continuing to work with the Malaysian Government in the hope of being able to return when circumstances allow.'" Source: https://oceaninfinity.com/news/conclusion-of-the-search-for-malaysian-airlines-flight-mh370/.
I don't like to image how the families of the 239 are feeling right now. OI did not even complete their fifty-five day contracted search time period. I wonder why when the weather has improved and it is still over two months until winter. This aborted plan has happened before, last year in fact. I respect Oliver Plunkett and sense he is sincere and dedicated, but he has had to drag along a bunch of bureaucrats in the Malaysian government like a ball and chain. Geoffrey and Richard are disappointed that they never even touched the "WSPR area", see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRFU8razeYY. Jeff Wise has yet to comment. Ashton Forbes might have slipped his own viewpoint into one of his long lifestreams that I've yet to watch. Florence de Changy doesn't say much on social media. I have mixed feelings about this news. Deep down I'd like to see the MH370 wreck found; it would close a chapter on all our lives, not to mention that of the families. However, I've always felt that the southern Indian Ocean is a wrong turn and the true solution to this mystery can be found elsewhere. Maybe this development will give people the impetus they need to look down those other paths less explored.

The Inverkhazi Mutiny

The British nation was shocked a few days ago when it was revealed that the Royal Navy has only two ships capable of deployment; and only one of them is able to put to sea now... which is next week. The Ministry of Defence previously claimed that the Navy had sixty-two ships, ten submarines and two hundred aircraft. This has been reduced to ten ships, four subs (These are all Trident ballistic missile platforms dedicated fulltime on maintaining our nuclear deterrent. They therefore cannot be spared for fleet duties) and they don't mention the aircraft, and that probably means there are too few to be significant. There's no doubt that Britannia no longer rules the waves. Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XP_dEkbJnCs. The United States military is by far the most powerful on earth. Even in this new multi-polar world military might is something the USA still excels at... supposedly. The US Navy has eleven aircraft carriers; and, as in a figure often quoted, each one has the power of an average national air force. There is a problem though. Brian Gerrish of UK Column, who is a former RN officer who commanded a ship, revealed that a few years ago only two of the eleven carriers were seaworthy. The others were either constantly in dry-dock with mechanical breakdowns or they lacked the qualified crew to man them. Has that improved since? Since the horrific outbreak of hostilities with Iran, see: https://hpanwo-radio.blogspot.com/2026/03/third-rail-radio-programme-236.html, the newest of these supercarriers, USS Gerald R Ford, has sailed for the eastern Mediterranean to assist with "Operation Epic Fury"; but all is not well on board. The toilets have been malfunctioning. The problem is so bad that it might even result in the ship being forced to make an emergency docking. You might wonder why mere blocked "heads" should be an issue severe enough to prevent a modern high-tech aircraft carrier operating, but hygiene aboard a ship at sea is essential. Waste water must be processed properly. On land, sewage can always be diverted away somewhere harmless, but on a ship at sea it can linger inside the hull contaminating fresh water supplies, food and living quarters causing disease. According to the latest video by Sweeps Fox the plumbing problems on the aircraft carrier might not just be bad engineering; they could be acts of deliberate sabotage by the personnel. The maintenance crews have attempted to fix the issues and have found in the foul channels large solid objects like clothing or lengths of rope. Source: https://rumble.com/v76pkvg-psychotics-acting-as-god-king-emperors-let-slip-the-dogs-of-war.html.

This could be a very subtle protest or attempt at subversion. The reasons why these sailors might be doing this are known only to themselves, but it could be there are simply scared; and who can blame them? Many military analysts are concerned by Iran's new hypersonic anti-ship missiles and how the aircraft carriers might not have adequate defences against them. Also, the sailors may have political motives. Why is the United States in this conflict? Twenty years after the "War on Terror" that achieved nothing except mindless destruction and a humiliating defeat for the US, the nation is once again aiming for another foreign war of intervention. Many people have worked out that this endeavour is purely in Israel's interest, not America's. As much as I sympathize with the innocent people of Israel, see: https://hpanwo-tv.blogspot.com/2023/10/israel-war-livestream.html, I don't believe it is the duty of foreign servicemen to fight their wars for them. Apparently we in Britain have to be afraid because Iranian missiles might be able to reach us. Source: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/iran-missiles-uk-conflict-us-war-britain-starmer-b2930496.html. Where have we heard that before?... How much longer will this delusion last? Will we always believe these pathetic suited bureaucrats who reassure us that this time everything will be AOK. Don't worry! Bear with us for just a little bit longer. We are just one more military intervention away from paradise!

Ian Huntley Dies

The child killer Ian Huntley has died after being attacked by a fellow prison inmate. He received catastrophic head injuries last Thursday week and was rushed to hospital, but did not regain consciousness. This is not the first time he has been assaulted, and this attention is to be expected considering the nature of his crime. This is despite the fact that the suspect is Anthony Russell, somebody who is equally vicious. He murdered his girlfriend and her son, plus another man. The prison, HMP Frankland, is where many of the country's most serious criminals are incarcerated; hence its nickname "monster mansion". Another is the maniac cop Wayne Couzens, see: https://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.com/2024/03/sarah-everard-killer-revelation.html. Thomas Mair, the alleged killer of Jo Cox MP is also supposedly there, but this is doubtful, see: https://hpanwo-radio.blogspot.com/2016/12/programme-214-podcast-trial-of-thomas.html. Ian Huntley was convicted of murdering Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, two ten year old girls who were pupils at the school where he worked as a caretaker. Source: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c80jmm00379o.

A few years after this unspeakable incident I was interviewed on the Richplanet Starship with Richard D Hall in which I raised the possibility that Ian Huntley was a patsy who had been framed. My reason for this was because I had heard that there was another suspect whom the police had overlooked. He was a serviceman in the US Air Force and was stationed at the nearby American garrison at RAF Lakenheath. The girls' bodies were found just outside the base. A few years after Holly and Jessica's death he was convicted of killing a young girl on Okinawa, a Japanese island where he was stationed afterwards. Why was he not a suspect in the Soham case? Richard and I suspected that this was because of political inconvenience. At the time the Prime Minister Tony Blair was desperately trying to get Britain involved in the Iraq invasion and if it were revealed to the public that a US serviceman had killed two young British girls on British soil that might turn public opinion against the UK American military alliance in the War on Terror. For this reason Huntley was set up. He had the right profile; a low IQ man with a previous conviction for comparatively minor offences against children. Source: https://hpanwo.blogspot.com/2010/10/my-interview-on-richplanet-starship.html. Interestingly Huntley's girlfriend Maxine Carr was an assistant teacher at the same school and was convicted of aiding and abetting him. She was released from jail under a false identity. This is possibly what also happened to Jo Cox and many others, see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZimqkgMJ40 and: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6HiZ4m1_P4o. Another suspicious element was that the original leader of the investigation, Acting Detective Superintendent David Beck, was replaced with another officer after ten days, Detective Chief Superintendent Chris Stevenson. Was this because the new chief was assigned to cement the cover story while Beck was not? The problem is that I don't remember where I first heard the information about the USAF serviceman and I've just tried to verify it and can't. There is no record of such a person ever existing. According to history, US troops have committed such crimes on Okinawa, but none since the occupation in 1945. Do any readers have any information on this matter? If you don't then I'll have to do something I really dislike, admit I was wrong! If this is the case then there is no further reason I can think of to doubt Ian Huntley's guilt; and so therefore I will join nearly all other people in refusing to mourn his death.

Pentyrch Incident 10th Anniversary

There has been an event in Pentyrch, Wales to mark the tenth anniversary of the UFO close encounter that took place there on the 26th of February 2016. The recording of the speeches by Gari Jones, Caz Clarke and others has been published, see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NauEJHGPvM. It includes some brand new information. I was in the audience; see here for my HPANWO TV reportage: https://hpanwo-tv.blogspot.com/2026/03/pentyrch-10.html. The venue, The Lewis Arms pub, was so full people were standing outside. The weather was terrible, but it didn't keep people away. It is obvious that the profile of this case is increasing and that's good news.

A Backslapper's Worst Nightmare!

At the heart of the backslapper mentality is doom. They are by far the most pessimistic people in the entire Conspirasphere. For the backslapper, being a pessimist is more than just a worldview; it is a badge of bravery and honour, a symbol of nobility, a declaration of membership, a shibboleth. In that way it's not unlike the skeptics' relationship to MBA, see: https://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.com/2025/04/the-shermerlution-continues.html. One thing backslappers are obsessed with is what they call "human nature". My own views on this subject are detailed here: https://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.com/2013/08/savages.html. Backslappers consider themselves the ultimate experts and arbiters of human nature. Their own dark, cynical and misanthropic judgement cannot be questioned. Those who dare are shunned and denounced as cowards, obstinates and residents of "cloud cuckooland". The backslapper will say things like: "I'm just being realistic. I wish the world were different, but it is not; and we just have to face up to that fact!", the unspoken proviso being, of course, that only backslappers have the intelligence and courage necessary to endure such facing up. A classic piece of allegorical fiction is William Golding's Lord of the Flies, a story published in 1951 about a group of young boys who are stranded on a desert island without any adult supervision. Free from all constraints of authority they enter into a state of primeval chaos and eventually even commit murder. The author was a teacher and witnessed bullying and dominance conflicts in the playground of his school. This made him reject any hope in the decency of man. However, there was once a similar incident that happened for real. In 1965 a group of six schoolboys, aged thirteen to sixteen, from Tonga in the south Pacific were out in a boat when a storm struck and they got lost. Luckily they managed to land on the uninhabited island of Ata where they were marooned for fifteen months, eventually being rescued by a passing Australian ship. Before they left to carry the boys home, the sailors explored the island and were astonished at what they found. These immature teenagers had created a fully functional social infrastructure with a food supply, water tanks carved from tree stumps, tools made of wood, a patch of soil where they planted seeds and created a vegetable garden; and even a sports arena. The boys agreed to share all food and water. They worked as a team, hunting crabs and seagulls, and gathered eggs and wild bananas. One of them was a guitar player and made a crude instrument out of wood, some wire and a coconut shell. They sang and danced for fun, played badminton and held group prayers. When one boy broke his leg the others took care of him. It healed completely. Their diet and lifestyle actually made them healthier. William Golding's Lord of the Flies is a social commentary about how there is an innate brute inside every human being and that it lies under only a very thin veneer of civilization. It does not take much impetus to release that monster. I accept that in some situations that is true, but I disagree with Golding in that he stressed that the central condition that decides whether the monster's cage opens or is safety locked shut is authority. It was the loss of authority from parents and teachers that caused the characters in the book to break down into the condition they did. A powerful government is said to be necessary to preserve the peaceful and cooperative status quo. From what I've seen the opposite is true; human chaos and social Darwinistic internecine violence is more likely to erupt in conditions of extreme authority, like a boarding school, prison or repressive nation state. In my own country crime rates are rising at the same time as our government becomes more and more despotic. We have even coined a new word for it, "anarcho-tyranny". To be fair, the characters in Golding's book were British and their six real life counterparts were Tongan. There must be a large cultural difference between them; but they were still the same species with biological coded and evolved mental traits. It occurs to me that the backslappers' attempt at anthropology must actually be quite convenient for those inside the Deep State who want a draconian one-world government. Those with the last vestiges of a conscience can justify it by claiming it is necessary to save us from ourselves. Therefore we should not be surprised when the "it's just human nature, mate" line is promoted very heavily in the mainstream. I have noticed it myself, in soap operas for example, see: https://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.com/2014/02/eastenders-murder.html. William Golding's novel is often studied in schools to this day. The truth is that humans are a social species who do have the ability to cooperate, in fact it is necessary if we are to remain social. Especially in times of adversity, our "nature, mate" would not survive Darwin's great filter otherwise.
