Linda Napolitano Dies

I'm sad report that Linda Napolitano has passed away at the age of seventy-eight. Linda was a very brave, beautiful and honourable lady who suffered a period of infamy after she reported being abducted by extraterrestrial beings. In November 1989 she relates being levitated from her bed in her upper floor flat in New York City USA and carried out of the window to a spacecraft. Her testimony was investigated by Budd Hopkins and he wrote about the case in his 1996 book Witnessed. Linda endured a lot of public hostility as a result of her story and even a kidnapping! Luckily she escaped. This alien abduction case was highly unusual because there are alleged to be independent witnesses, one of whom was Javier Pérez de Cuéllar, secretary-general of the United Nations. Abduction witnesses of any kind are almost unprecedented. I never met Linda, but I got to know her well as a social media friend. She was featured in a Netflix documentary which I've been meaning to review for a long time and have not yet. She eventually left the apartment she'd lived in for decades and moved to start a new life in Tennessee. Deepest condolences to her husband Stephen, her sons Stephen Jr and John, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Here is her official memorial page: https://www.williamsonandsons.com/obituaries/Linda-Lucy-Napolitano?obId=46766212&fbclid. Fly in Peace Linda.

I'm in Trouble Again... No Surprise!

When I was arrested in 2019 the officer told me: "I don't want to arrest you, Ben. I can tell you're a good guy." I replied: "Thanks, Simon, but we live in a world under tyranny; good guys are going to get into trouble.", see: https://hpanwo-tv.blogspot.com/2019/09/brexit-protest-2-bojo-revolution.html. My goodness wasn't I right! Regular readers will think of numerous examples of good guys getting into trouble and now you can add me to that list. A few weeks ago I received a strange email:

Dear Ben,
We are contacting you regarding the use of our imagery on your website hpanwo-voice.blogspot.com. We don't have any record of our content being licensed for this use. This email outlines the situation and the steps you need to take to resolve the matter.
Use of PA Media Images
PA Media is the national news agency for the UK and Ireland. We own the copyright to images taken by our photographers. We have noticed that you are currently using 1 image(s) from our collection on your website hpanwo-voice.blogspot.com.
Licence Fee: 375.00
Licensing
All PA images must be licensed before use. If your organisation does have a valid licence, please upload it via our case portal (details below). If we’ve contacted you in error, please accept our apologies. By sending us the licence, we can close the case.
If you don't have a licence, your use of our imagery would constitute an infringement of our copyright, and you need to take action to resolve this situation.
Solution:
You need to purchase a licence to cover your use by using our case portal.
We are requesting the payment of £468.75 (including our administration fee). If you resolve the matter within seven days, we offer a 10% early settlement discount.
Once you have purchased the licence, you will be cleared to continue using the image(s) and the past use will be covered by your payment.
Note that removal alone does not resolve the matter.
Please refer to our Frequently Asked Questions in the case portal for answers to common questions regarding copyright protection.
Kind regards,
PA Media Group Infringements Team

The letter had no signature. My first thought was that this was some kind of scam, but then I received a reminder that included some additional warnings:

Compensation is due for your past use of our image(s), you need to purchase a licence using our case portal. We are requesting the payment of £468.75 (including our Administration Fee). Once you have purchased the licence, you will be cleared to continue using the image(s) and your past use will be covered by your payment, closing this case.
Note that removal alone does not resolve the matter.
We reserve the right to add additional fees to our settlement request that cover any additional costs incurred if you do not resolve your breach of our copyright by paying our settlement request. This could be in the form of interest as well as legal fees.
Copyright owners suffer damages when images are used without permission. Their exclusivity diminishes, and they ultimately lose value. If you have not already removed the imagery from your site, please do this immediately. However, removal of the imagery alone does not resolve the possible infringement, and payment is still due for the time it has been online.

This time the email began with just "Hi" and they did not address me by name; and again there was no signature. The image they're referring to is this one:
I used it to illustrate this article: https://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.com/2025/05/why-i-did-not-vote-reform.html. "PA Media Group" actually does exist. It seems this is not a scam and they are seriously chasing me down for what they believe is copyright infringement. I was shocked, but decided to reply thus:

Dear Copyright Enforcement Group
I have reviewed your policy and current copyright law. I have taken appropriate legal advice and I am confident that I have reproduced the image concerned in accordance with the Fair Use guidelines of the Copyright Designs and Patents Act of 1988 and section 17 of the USC 107.
1. For the purposes of private study or research.
2. For the purposes of criticism and review.
3. Free distribution, not for profit.
Therefore I respectfully decline your offer to purchase a licence.
Regards.
Ben Emlyn-Jones

I didn't hear anything for almost two weeks and started to wonder if I had misread the situation and that this really was just an elaborate attempted swindle, but then I received a reply from somebody calling themselves "Adam"; this is the first time any of the PA Media Group has divulged their name to me in correspondence:

Hello Ben,
Thank you for your email.
In regards fair use, we are aware there are exceptions for teaching and private study, which allows teachers and students to use images in classrooms and essays, however this does not extend to placing the images online so your use would not be covered by this exception. The UK is one of the many jurisdictions that an unauthorised user can be pursued for copyright infringement, under English law, fair dealing doesn't apply to photographs used for news reporting purposes. Additionally, to contend that the photograph was used for review and criticism rather than news reporting purposes, under fair dealing in the UK this requires (a) that there was an acknowledgement acknowledging the source of the image in the instant case, there was no such acknowledgement; and (b) that the use was fair – and, for the same reasons discussed above, the use wasn't fair.
As the website owner, it is your responsibility to ensure all content uploaded to your site holds the appropriate licence from the rights holder to do so.
It is important that you understand photographers and organisations such as PA make their living from the licensing of their images, and without these payments, they would not be able to continue to take the great images that we all need.
This is why we ask for the settlement fee to be paid.
Thanks
Adam

Now, I'm quite sure some midwit smart Alec reader is currently about to comment something like: "But Ben, he's right! This is a copyright infringement because of ABC and XYZ!" Now, I'm not a hundred percent certain they're not technically correct. I based my reply off information I gained from a media solicitor in 2015 after this disreputable affair, see: https://hpanwo-tv.blogspot.com/2015/07/ben-emlyn-jones-is-innocent.html. However, even if this is a valid breach of copyright, it is one so petty as to be inconsequential. It is the kind of thing social media users do all the time; finding a viral picture on the same platform and downloading it to add to their own post. I don't accept that the simple reproduction of an image that is viral on social media anyway can adversely affect a photographer's career. PA Media should either be sending these demands for money to millions of people around the world or not be sending them at all. Why have I been singled out? Am I just unlucky? Am I the loser in some kind of negative postcode lottery? I began to smell a rat. One phenomenon I am very familiar with, and wish I wasn't, is legal or disciplinary action from officialdom that is portrayed as fair, simple and superficial, but really has an ulterior motive that is never spoken of. If that ulterior motive were not present then the action would never be taken. This is what happened to Richard D Hall, see: https://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.com/2024/07/rdh-lawsuit-mini-portal.html and Helen Duncan, see: https://hpanwo.blogspot.com/2020/02/helen-duncan-portal.html; and I could mention numerous other examples. It has already happened to me before, see: https://hpanwo-hpwa.blogspot.com/2025/01/thirteen-years-on.html. There are other strange coincidences at play here, such as Marianna Spring blocking me; how does she even know who I am? See: https://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.com/2023/05/blocked-by-marianna-spring.html. What's more, at exactly the same time another friend of mine in the Conspirasphere has told me he is being sued for copyright infringement. (I can't give details now, but soon I hopefully will be able to.) When I got the first email I did originally consider simply paying up. It's a lot of money, but once it's over with they'll leave me alone. As I became more suspicious I started to doubt that. There are probably dozens of illustrations I've included over the years I've been doing HPANWO that technically need licensing. If I capitulate they'll come after me even more, using my acquiescence as a legal precedent, tantamount to an admission of guilt on my part. And, as I predicted, last Wednesday I received yet another threat-o-gram from the PA Media Group. It was exactly the same template as the first one, making exactly the same demand; but, sure enough, it was for the use of another image, this one:
I used it in this article: https://hpanwo-hpwa.blogspot.com/2013/01/jimmy-savile-in-hospital-satanic.html. This time they want £792.50, again with an early settlement discount. It's been on the page for almost thirteen years. This is very strange. People who distribute online movies illegally are treated more leniently than I have been. They usually only get their upload deleted and, after a number of violations, their account banned. Occasionally persistent and organized offenders are prosecuted. These people are not even giving me the option of apologizing and simply removing the image. If they had done so I'd probably have agreed. If they have their way they will be billing me for every image I've used with this copyright status, and goodness knows how much I'll have to pay. For the reasons I've stated, I have decided to fight this case. If there is an ulterior motive at play then I am not going to humour their dishonesty by pretending that their platitudes are the legitimate basis for their case. I will make sure I am clear and comprehensive about why I am resisting. What will happen next? No doubt I will receive more blackmail letters. We'll soon see how far they are willing to escalate this matter. I have clearly said or done something recently that has had my card stamped. I can't think right now what it might be; possibly my dedicated defence of Richard D Hall, or my persistence in claming the Pentyrch incident is real, see: https://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.com/2025/10/pentyrch-ufo-mini-portal.html. I have had weird phone calls before, see: https://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.com/2019/01/strange-phone-call.html. This is a worrying situation for me, but I have no right to back down. Others have faced far worse. What would I say to all the children imprisoned by the government if I just took the knee and paid up? I will keep readers updated as soon as it is necessary.

MP Digital ID Debate

The House of Commons has fulfilled its commitment to the online petition on digital ID, see: https://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.com/2025/10/id-petition-response-omissions-and.html. (The petition is still open and stands at almost three million at the time of writing.) The debate was held in the Grand Committee Room in Westminster Hall, not the main Commons chamber. Jeremy Corbyn, former opposition leader, thought that it should be. There was not enough room for all the members who wanted to take part. The main chamber is the one people are most familiar with, the one where the MP's vote. The debate goes on for over four hours and it might be easier to search the written minutes instead of watching the video, if you're short of time. The debate was introduced by Robbie Moore, Conservative MP for Keighley and Ilkley. It represents something of a miracle; Members of Parliament are finally growing some balls! A lot of those opposed to digital ID, which was over three quarters, sounded almost like Andrew Bridgen. The arguments they made against digital ID were surprisingly all the same ones I, and others in the Truth movement, have also made. They came across as confident and passionate. The minority in favour of the Big Brother proposition didn't really add anything that has not already been said in the government's contemptuous and insipid petition response, see link above. Their tone was uncertain, insincere and timid. One catchphrase I heard over and over again was along the lines of: "My constituents have been very vocal about this..." or: "My constituents insisted I address this..." It's pretty clear that many of the MP's against the BritCard have simply caved in to public pressure. They may not mean what they say, but they understand the risk they face, possibly losing their seats and having to go out and get a real job! Therefore it is never a waste of time to write to your MP, attend their surgeries or sign petitions. An appeal to self-interest is not the ideal motive, but it might be enough. It is in this case. Sources; video recording: https://www.youtube.com/live/dCGWpaAfJIw. Official minutes: https://hansard.parliament.uk/Commons/2025-12-08/debates/9E01F17C-557A-4D02-8A93-B573721B8B20/a. It is very obvious the Commons are going to throw out the government's bill. That is a huge relief and a wonderful victory; however, Starmer will not give up. He has Tony Blair's globalists tugging on his strings and so he is right now scheming to sneak ID cards into society another way. We must be vigilant and so ready and waiting when he makes another attack on our freedoms.

Disclosure Day

See here for essential background: https://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.com/2025/06/spielberg-wraps.html.
There have been some important updates about Steven Spielberg's new film. Last Friday a billboard appeared on the prime commercial display in Times Square, New York City; and also at a similar place in Los Angeles, illustrated below. It simply said: All will be disclosed. Spielberg. 6-12-26. This refers to the 12th of June, not the 6th of December; it's an American date format. It is exactly six months in the future, presumably the release date of the movie. The design is cryptic, showing the white outline of a bird with a human eye inside it, upside down for some reason. Surrounding it is a circle of white lines. Then the rumour emerged that the first teaser trailer was about to begin distribution on the reels of the new film Avatar- Fire and Ash. I was tempted to buy a ticket to the first showing on Friday, even though I'm not a big Avatar fan and so wasn't keen to see the feature; I wanted it just so I could see the trailer. Star Wars fans did the same thing before the 1990's prequel launch, some turning up at the cinema wearing costumes. However, the trailer has dropped three days early online. It finally reveals the film's title: Disclosure Day; a very good one I think that when combined with what we've been told about its themes means it will appeal to the UFO community. The teaser is two minutes and six seconds long and opens with some clips from a few of the scenes showing the inside of a house, a small handheld crucifix and a herd of deer outside a window that is slightly reminiscent of Leave The World Behind, see: https://hpanwo-tv.blogspot.com/2023/12/leave-world-behind-review.html. There is some intriguing dialogue: "If you found out we weren't alone; if someone showed you, proved it to you, would that frighten you?" The second scene is in a TV news studio. The newsreader, played by Emily Blunt, is delivering a bulletin when she suddenly starts stuttering and her voice changes tone completely; and she starts making unintelligible noises. The gallery crew and the people watching her on TV all look alarmed. The following scene has the actor Josh O'Connor saying: "People have a right to know the truth; it belongs to seven billion people." There is then a scene in some kind of laboratory or control centre full of complex computer monitors. O'Connor's character then says: "Full Disclosure to the whole world, all at once." We then see a crop circle being made live on camera, rather like the 1996 John Weyleigh footage, see: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/XVl8A4Wn-MA. Another character, played by Colman Domingo, then says: "People keep wondering, encountering the unknown. They are starved for the truth!" Interspersed are clips of armed policemen carrying out a raid and chasing somebody on foot and in black cars. There are images inserted throughout the trailer showing a man being experimented on; I can't identify the actor. Emily Blunt then says: "Do you think there could be others?" and a nun replies with an adaptation of a famous quote by Carl Sagan on God's creation of the cosmos: "Why would He make such a vast universe yet save it only for us?" This dialogue is mixed with clips of animals behaving strangely, including a bird like the one in the posters. More posters have been released since with the characters' whole faces partly covered by the translucent bird template. Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFe6NRgoXCM.

Along with David Koepp, as has already been revealed, Steven Spielberg has reassembled other members of his familiar team. The original score is composed by John Williams making this his thirtieth collaboration with Spielberg beginning in 1974 with The Sugarland Express. All the classic UFO movie riffs we associate with Spielberg, Close Encounters, ET etc, are Williams' work. This reunion makes me suspect Disclosure Day will have a fairly typical Spielberg feel to it. To say I am looking forward to watching this new film is an understatement. It's truly painful that we have to wait half a year for it. Be in no doubt at all that I will be reviewing it in the most thorough detail. Roll on June!

MH370 New Search Confirmed

See here for essential background: https://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.com/2025/11/mh370-possible-new-search.html.
It's official! The search for MH370 will resume the day before New Year's Eve. The government of Malaysia has announced that the Ocean Infinity contract is still active and that this new search will last for fifty-five days; I'm guessing that duration could be extended depending on its level of success. Source: https://www.reuters.com/world/asia-pacific/search-missing-flight-mh370-resume-december-30-malaysia-says-2025-12-03/. Probably OI will use one or more of its Armada-class ships again. According to Jeff Wise's contact Kevin Rupp, Armada 86 05 has just completed a shipwreck survery in the Phillipines and is currently victualling in Lagazpi City. The timing is good for a cruise to the search zone to arrive on schedule. It could be that its next assignment will be to head for the 7th Arc and once more try to find the remains of MH370. What will happen? We'll have to wait and see.

Bart Sibrel vs Charlie Duke

The Danny Jones Podcast has just hosted a debate on the moon landings that's almost four hours long. It is truly unique because it features Bart Sibrel, one of the world's leading moon landing conspiracy researchers, but also one of the astronauts themselves, Charlie Duke. The last time Bart confronted an actual Apollo astronaut it was Buzz Aldrin and he punched Bart in the face, see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qr6Vcvl0OeU. This time the two men sit down at a table with Danny and have a strictly non-violent confrontation. Charlie Duke is one of only four surviving Apollo astronauts and was one of the Apollo 16 lunar module crew who landed on the moon on April the 20th 1972, supposedly. He was the tenth man who is claimed walked on the moon and was the youngest ever, aged thirty-six. He opens his contribution by giving his curriculum vitae, from his days as a test pilot to joining NASA's astronaut corps to his alleged mission to the moon. Bart presents his evidence against the reality of Project Apollo vigorously and without apology. He does not tone down his indictment one iota because he is in the presence of one of the men he is accusing. As somebody who has followed his work and that of the other Apollo Detectives I'm already familiar with his case and discussed them personally in my own interview with him, see: https://hpanwo-radio.blogspot.com/2023/01/programme-491-podcast-bart-sibrel.html. Charlie remains completely calm and respectful for the entire show, but does not seriously refute Bart's assertions. He merely replies over and over again: "But I did go to the moon." "What is the point of this discussion? Are you saying we didn't go to the moon?" The answer to that is obvious and indeed Charlie knows Bart well. Bart has confronted him publicly and privately many times since he began his investigation in the late 1990's. Duke also keeps asking: "Where did all the moon rocks come from if we didn't bring them back?" Again, this point has been addressed several times by Marcus Allen, Jarrah White and the other Apollo investigators. Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMn6sI4X66s. Danny did a good job as a moderator and made a transparent effort to avoid saying anything biased. I was glad the debate remained on a civilized level, but I was actually disappointed Charlie didn't put up more of a fight; after all, he is being personally impugned here. I would welcome a spirited dissent on this matter and I expect Bart would too. This subject has caused more contention in the online conspirasphere and skeptisphere than almost any other. Debates like the one we had with "Blue Earth Thing", see background link below, are commonplace. Threads hundreds of posts long sprout overnight like bamboo under every social media post on this subject. The commentariat has responded in a form that has not changed much in the last thirty years. There has been very little rational rebuttal and more a sense that the whole affair was simply immoral. The word "disrespectful" has been used a lot. The general consensus is that Danny Jones did something bad by hosting this debate and that it was somehow unfair on Charlie. Despite the fact that Bart is by nature one of the most belligerent people on the scene, for more so than I would have been, I don't think he did anything wrong. He delivered facts in his own way and invited Charlie to do the same. Patrick from Vetted is clearly angry about this. Although he attempts to discredit Bart by pointing out a couple of his errors, he does not address Bart's main points, see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRP7_Ns6bbk. I'm a fan of Patrick; as regulars know, I met him a few months ago and recorded a brief interview, see: https://hpanwo-tv.blogspot.com/2025/06/ben-in-desert-2.html. Patrick's commentary on UFOlogy is excellent and he is sincere in his beliefs, but I suspect this is the first time he has come across the moon landing controversy. I expect this overlap will widen because UFO's and space exploration are intimately connected. I enjoyed Bart's new wrangle and I'm glad Danny arranged it. Possibly Charlie Duke was the wrong interlocutor though. Perhaps because of his advanced age, he is ninety; one of the space skeptics would have been better, like James Oberg or Jay Windley. Those men would also disarm the accusations of disrespect. Well done to Bart for a good performance. Hopefully the audience will want to learn more and question more.

Whales Attack

I've mentioned before a few times that, for reasons I'm not aware of, I have very extreme emotional responses to several subjects; and one of them is the welfare of cetaceans, marine mammals of the whale and dolphin variety, for example see: https://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.com/2018/12/japan-resumes-whaling.html. Therefore I was curious when I discovered that a number of boats off the coast of the Iberian Peninsula have been attacked by whales. There have been over five hundred recorded incidents in the Mediterranean Sea, Strait of Gibraltar and Atlantic coast of Spain and Portugal. They began in 2020 and continue to this day. They have been blamed on a single community of orcas or killer whales nicknamed "Gladys". This is short for Orcinus Gladiator, Latin for "whale-fighter". The vessels targeted are usually small to medium sized sailing boats although a few motorboats have suffered attacks. The incidents are usually in daylight and consist of the whale grabbing the rudder in its teeth or biting the keel. There have been several sinkings as a result, including the loss of Tifare, a fifty foot French yacht which was attacked off Peniche, Portugal in October. The crew escaped in a lifeboat and transferred to a trawler. The lifeboat and rescue craft were not attacked, indicating this was not an aggressive action. Scientists believe this behaviour is a form of play. Source: https://uk.whales.org/2023/08/25/orcas-are-not-attacking-boats-say-leading-scientists/. Orcas are highly intelligent and the Gibraltarian marine biologist Eric Shaw claims that they were being protective and were intentionally targeting the rudder with the understanding that it would immobilize the vessel, just as attacking the tail of a prey animal would immobilize it. There's some evidence to suggest these incidents are spreading. Some whales have attacked boats in the North Sea. A few people have wondered if this is some kind of revenge. If so then few could argue it was not justified. From what we know of cetacean mentality that seems unlikely. They would have to make decisions as a group and coordinate. Despite that, I can't help wondering. According to Denise Herzing whales have a complex auditory language, see the background link below. There's a film called Orca- the Killer Whale which I watched once and will never do so again. It is by far the most disturbing and horrifying film I've ever seen. It is a story about human evil expressed through extreme animal cruelty. In the film an orca deliberately and systematically targets a group of people on a boat for the purposes of revenge. One of the lines in the film states: "the orca is one of the few species apart from man to have shown behaviour motivated by revenge" (That's not an exact quote. Please don't ask me for a correction; as I said, I never want to see that film again.) I can't help imagining that this film is coming true, to a lesser extent. If so then it is indiscriminate; not personal against a particular individual, but a dislike of human beings generally. I suppose there is a part of me which would like that to be the explanation. It's very unlikely though. Probably the scientists are right.

Inside Man

I almost gave up on Inside Man in the first five minutes. As I've said before, the modern media, especially the BBC, tends to load all its most toxic propaganda at the beginning of a film or TV show. This is because they know the majority of people who view an online video will only watch the first five minutes, see: https://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.com/2023/07/messiah.html. The opening scene is on a London Underground train in which a vulnerable young "Black!" "Woman!" is being harassed by an evil "White!" "Man!" Of course all the other disgusting "Straight White People!" Sit there and do nothing to defend her. He is only chased away when a "Strong!" and "Empowered!" "Woman!" stands up and challenges him. This woman, called Janice, is actually a home tutor for a teenage boy who is the son of the local vicar, played by David Tennant, of Doctor Who fame. The victim on the train also comes back into the story as Beth, a criminologist studying serial killers. Interestingly the vicar's wife, called Mary, is an atheist; and it's interesting how the couple have reconciled this difference in terms of their relationship and parenting. That family are the last people imaginable you would think would do any kind of serious crime, but they end up committing one almost accidentally because they are forced into it by astonishing bad luck. They end up imprisoning Janice in the vicarage basement and eventually plotting her murder. Janice is no fool though and is clearly trained in counter-interrogation techniques; making me think she has a background in the military intelligence services, although this is never stated. She cleverly turns the tables on her captors. At the same time in the United States another man, Jefferson Grieff, is about to be executed for murdering his wife. He happens to be a criminologist too, ironically, and has several meetings with Beth. He is played very well by Stanley Tucci, an actor who is one of the best at delivering very deadpan and witty ironic performances. In one scene he has a meeting with his father-in-law who hates him, obviously; and the father taunts Grieff about his upcoming execution. Their dialogue is memorably hilarious. "Do they stick something up your arse, like a butt-plug, in case you shit yourself?" Grieff replies: "I think that's only for electrocution." The father asks: "Don't you shit yourself when it's a lethal injection?" Grieff replies: "I don't know. I haven't looked into it. I would promise to let you know, but it wouldn't make for great last words." Despite its pernicious wokery in the opening scene, the series rapidly improves. It is well-written and acted with a brilliant storyline in which the various streams come together at the end. There is some gripping suspense that is skilfully managed. Inside Man is created by Stephen Moffat, who I know is one of the Doctor Who axemen, but I've always considered him the junior partner compared to the revolting Russell T Davies. I very much recommend it; see here for the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cj_qFctViCc.
