Re-elect UAP Congress

In a few weeks the United States of America will hold a major multi-office election known as "midterm" because it's halfway through a presidential term of office; although this will not affect the US executive branch directly. The election takes place on the first Tuesday of November when it is not the first of the month; if it is then it takes place on the second Tuesday. For 2026 the date is the 3rd. All American registered voters are eligible to cast a ballot in the midterm election. In Congress, the entire House of Representatives, all 435 members will face the polls, along with about a third of the hundred Senators. About two thirds of the states elect new governors and some will also appoint officials in their own legislatures. A number of local mayors and councils also have elections. The independent political analysts all conclude that it's likely the Democrats will make major gains against the ruling GOP. This is a recurring pattern in American political dynamics; in which the people carry out a protest vote against the President's party. From President Trump's position, this will be a serious obstacle; without the federal legislature on his side he will have an uphill battle to introduce his policies. However, the issue which concerns me the most is what this will do to the UFO Disclosure movement. Over the last few years a number of Congress-people have bravely spoken out over this traditionally unfashionable topic. Names that immediately spring to mind are Tim Burchett (R-TN), Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL), Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) and Eric Burlison (R-MO) (There is a rumour that Eric Burlison was planning to speak at last year's Contact in the Desert. If this had happened then it would have only been the second time in history that a sitting elected statesman had spoken at a UFO conference. The first was, of course, another Eric; Sir Eric Gairy, Prime Minister of Grenada. He spoke at the first International UFO Congress in Acapulco, Mexico in 1977. I attended last year's Contact myself and Burlison was not present at all, see: https://hpanwo-tv.blogspot.com/2025/06/ben-in-desert-2.html and: https://hpanwo-tv.blogspot.com/2026/02/ending-south.html.)

At the moment the opinion polls look quite rosy for most of these pro-UAP lawmakers. Eric Burlison's seat in the 7th Congressional District of Missouri is one of the safest in the country. As a Republican, Tim Burchett also is very secure because he represents a staunchly red region of Tennessee and his constituents are generally pleased with his performance since the last election. Anna Paulina Luna's Florida seat is more marginal. The same goes for her fellow Floridian Jared Moskowitz. Although Moskowitz is a Democrat, his district has been described as "a toss-up". Lauren Boebert (R-CO) has explicitly campaigned on UFO Disclosure, which is admirable in my view, but it has alienated her from some of her electorate. In the Senate, none of the major players in the Disclosure game are on the ballot. Mike Rounds, Kerstin Gillibrand and Chuck Schumer etc will face an election at another time. I'm not American and I don't want to say too much in case somebody makes that very fashionable accusation of foreign interference; but I consider it vital that government officials who are maintaining this new post-2017 open-minded and positive atmosphere towards UFO's and the need for the public to know about them, remain in positions of political power. I ask my American readers to do the right thing on polling day.
