Nick Pope is NOT a Shill

...Or so he says. In an unprecedented outburst on the pages of the Express Online, the world's principle media UFO superstar and former official UFO investigator for the British government, Nick Pope, has decried allegations that he is a mole planted in the UFOlogy community to spread disinformation. "I accept there are people out there who think I'm still secretly working for the government, helping to cover all this up, I promise I'm not." he said. He explained how he has actually campaigned for greater UFO transparency, including the latest release of UK ministry of Defence UFO files, see: https://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.co.uk/2016/10/new-government-ufo-files-censored.html. This has not satisfied many people in conspiratorial UFOlogy and exopolitics who still believe there is far more decisive evidence being held back. I am one of them; however I doubt very much if the Man from the Ministry is directly responsible. Personally, if I had a "saucer in a hangar", to use his catchphrase, Nick Pope, the public face of the UFO phenomenon who is always on television, would be the last person on earth I would tell. Source: https://www.express.co.uk/news/weird/908660/UFO-aliens-mole-MoD-Nick-Pope-denies-UFO-cover-up.

Nick Pope has been nominated more than anybody else as a possible government plant, somebody in the UFO community who is secretly working for the government to suppress information on UFO's and sabotage the efforts of those researching them; a "shill" in the parlance of the Conspirasphere. According to his official bio, Nick Pope joined the MoD in 1985, was appointed head of the UFO desk in 1991 and ran it until 1994. Due to those few years he became a celebrity by being appointed the media's designated spokesman on UFO's; "Britain's Fox Mulder" as the press dubbed him. He retired in 2006 and is now a freelance journalist and author. He sometimes writes for the same journal that I do, Neon Nettle. The accusations go along the lines that Pope did not in fact retire and that his MoD job was just a cover for his real role in a very different UK state institution, one whose name also begins with the letter M. It's a tricky situation because if Nick is in fact a shill he is hardly likely to publish his payslips. If he is not, how can he possibly prove himself innocent to everybody's satisfaction? My advice is to treat Nick Pope as you would anybody else, with caution if you don't trust him and openly if you do. It's important to strike a balance between the extremes of reckless naiveté and "shill fever". I know how it feels to be falsely accused of shillhood and we must avoid that at all costs, see here for details: http://hpanwo-tv.blogspot.co.uk/2015/03/the-shill-squad.html. I personally am wary of Nick Pope for several reasons, the most recent being his perplexing support for the Larry Warren Hate Cult, see: http://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.co.uk/2017/06/the-larry-warren-controversy-part-15.html. However I have no proof that he is doing this for anything other than personal motives. Pope also made some very peculiar comments during the run-up to the 2012 Olympics, the so-called "Apocalympics", see: http://hpanwo-tv.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/2012-london-olympic-stadium.html. If Nick doesn't want to be considered a shill then avoiding these media spots will make him sound more trustworthy. Conversely Nick has also just made a statement in the press that confirms the presence of possible extraterrestrial metal artefacts being found by Bigelow Aerospace as part of the recently declassified US Department of Defence project to investigate UFO's, see: https://www.express.co.uk/news/weird/910447/Pentagon-UFO-metal-from-flying-saucer-AATIP. See here for more details: http://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.co.uk/2018/01/ufo-videos-by-mouthy-buddha.html. So we are getting very mixed messages from Nick Pope. Is he running with the fox or chasing with the hounds? Should we believe him when he protests his innocence? If he is honest, then could he be a useful ally?

"Don't Give Up!"

One thing that interests me enormously is synchronicity. Sometimes little things happen to me that make me feel as if the universe itself, or God if you prefer, is trying to tell me something. Often it is a message of hope and optimism at a time when I feel both those things slipping away from me. My last full day in portering is a good example, see: http://hpanwo-tv.blogspot.co.uk/2012/01/ben-civilian.html. I can think of many other instances. Something like that has happened again today. Last week, after I finished my article on the last voyage of the RMS St Helena, see: http://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.co.uk/2018/01/goodbye-rms.html, I remembered something from my past that gave me similar feelings that I should have added to the article and I made a note to bring it up in a future post. When I was a child, my family used to spend every summer holiday at my grandparents' home in the Netherlands. They lived in a town called Mook which was on the banks of the river Maas or Meuse. This was a very wide river and a ferryboat linked Mook to the town of Katwijk on the opposite bank (If you don't speak Dutch you will probably pronounce these names wrongly). For me, as a young boy, the ferry was an object of wonder and delight. She was a roll-on-roll-off pontoon ferry with two ramps and gates at each end and a conning tower on one beam. She could hold half a dozen cars with space for foot and cycle passengers at the side. The journey across the river only took about two minutes, but it thrilled me. It was symbolic of the experience of being with my Dutch family. Sometimes we walked, sometimes drove and occasionally rode bicycles. The ferry was called God Met Ons III which means "God is with us, the third". Then, one year, we turned up and the ferry was gone. I was devastated. I was a fairly sentimental boy by nature, but I surprised myself by how upset I was. We soon found out the reason; it was because a new bridge had been built at Haven Cuijk and so the ferry was no longer needed. My father has always been extremely pragmatic; today he is a staunch Remoaner. At the time he tried to pacify me: "I'm afraid that's progress, Ben. You just have to accept it." I recall imagining a story about the ferry crew refusing to give up their vessel. I was very sad for the entire holiday. I remember taking a cycle ride with my dad and brother and being unable to enjoy it because I was grieving for the ferry. For me the right thing to do would be not to build the bridge at all just so that the ferry could stay. That made sense to me. There is a part of me that still honours those priorities. This is why I felt as I did about the RMS.

I always assumed that the ferry had been dragged away for scrap, as the RMS might, but I never heard any more about the matter until this very day. Then, as I was recording Programme 24 of Third Rail Radio, see: http://hpanwo-radio.blogspot.co.uk/2018/01/third-rail-radio-programme-24.html, the subject came up where I was doing a segment on the RMS and I decided to Google the name "God Met Ons" just see what I could find. I was astonished to see several photographs of the old Mook-Katwijk ferry, recent pictures too and not from the river crossing. I visited the pages and realized to my joy that the old God Met Ons III is still afloat and in service. She was never scrapped at all! However she is no longer in the Netherlands, she is in Ireland. She crosses the channel between Knightstown and Valentia Island at Dingle Bay in County Kerry, see: http://www.valentiaisland.ie/life-business/valentia-island-car-ferry/. Funnily enough I have been to Ireland twice and wanted to go to Dingle Bay, but was thwarted on both occasions. The first time I had to lend my friend money and ran out of funds; the second time I went with a man from a local pub and fell out with him soon after we arrived in Dublin. If I had got there I might have discovered the happy truth earlier. I don't know how God Met Ons III managed to end up on the west coast of Ireland. I'm in touch with the crew in her Facebook group so hopefully they'll fill me in. The faithful old ferry is due to be replaced; she was launched in 1965 so she's had a good innings. I was just really happy to see her again. This uplifted my spirit at just the right time when I needed it. Other things have happened recently that have got me down, see: http://hpanwo-tv.blogspot.co.uk/2017/12/is-there-any-hope.html. Maybe this was another message of comfort and support from God, or the universe, or whatever you want to call it. It is telling me: "Don't give up!" I'm reminded of Dr Joe Dispenza in the brilliant film What the Bleep Do We Know!? where he says: "I wake up in the morning and I consciously create my day the way I want it to happen. When I create my day and out of nowhere little things happen that are so unexplainable, I know that they are the process or the result of my creation. I say, 'I'm taking this time to create my day. Show me a sign today that you paid attention to any one of these things that I created, and bring them in a way that I won't expect, so I'm as surprised at my ability to be able to experience these things. And make it so that I have no doubt that it's come from you,'." Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5nqMjPJhlA. I had another piece of synchronicity just a few days ago too. I was walking along trying to think of a name and suddenly it was right in front of me as a line of graffiti on a metal rail. It easy for a skeptic to write these events off as coincidence; but, as I explain here, that is a fallacy, see: https://youtu.be/ljglQk1umvI?t=47m1s. I believe what happened today was a genuine piece of synchronicity. Whoever you are, thank you. Thank you so much.

Careless Talk Costs Brexit

During World War II a number of warning posters were put up all over Britain with the slogan "careless talk costs lives". How right they were; more so than they knew at the time. The context is different and it is seventy years later, but it's as true as ever. A few days ago I warned that Nigel Farage's irresponsible slip of the tongue regarding a second Brexit referendum represented a very dangerous chink in the armour of the Leave campaign, see: http://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.co.uk/2018/01/farage-loses-his-mind.html. As I predicted, the Remoaners have rushed towards it like a school of hungry piranhas. The following week, The Daily Telegraph reported that the UK could rejoin the European Union in the future, according to the deputy Prime Minister. Then today the above headline appeared in The Guardian. Here is the online version of the article: https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2018/jan/26/britons-favour-second-referendum-brexit-icm-poll. According to a poll, the popularity of the idea of a second Brexit referendum has soared. There is now sixteen points, allegedly, between it and those, like me, who think the decision of the original referendum should stand. I don't know how accurate that poll is, and The Guarr-iddian is hardly an unbiased outlet, but the fact that the report was published so soon after Farage's clanger is not coincidental. The fact that The Daily Mail is quoting it too makes it more credible. Like I said long ago, as time passes, memory fades and things said and done get shoved down the Memory Hole; the 2016 referendum is being relegated to no more than an interim opinion poll. If what the deputy Prime Minister said is true, then the pressure of the Remoaners will never cease. Even after the spring of 2019, when the Article 50 process is due to be complete, they will still be trying to crowbar this country back into Europe

How can we possibly resist that? Remember that the Remoaners have one hundred percent of the establishment backing them up. We may simply have to hope we can hold out until the entire edifice of that dictatorial continental empire comes crashing down in whole. There are encouraging signs that this is happening. The EU is suffering numerous economic, social and political problems. More and more people within it are rebelling. Austria recently elected an anti-EU coalition of two parties, the FPO and the OVP (Freedom Party of Austria and the Austrian People's Party) and these have formed a government that has ousted the pro-EU and pro-globalist SPO-Green Party alliance. Similar movements are rising in other EU countries... or "member states", as the EU government insists on calling them. The thing is, the collapse of the EU is inevitable and should be welcomed, but it will still be a traumatic upheaval when it happens and the more nations which can jump ship before it hits the iceberg the easier it will be for them, and for everybody else. You might criticize the title I've used for the post as melodramatic and an exaggeration. Being in the EU is not like facing Adolf Hitler's expansionism in World War II, is it? Yes it is. A nation occupied by an illegal foreign invader... yes, that's what the EU is... rarely endures in that state without any loss of human life. Remember, the European Commission is an unelected tyranny. They can do whatever they like with us; unless we free ourselves from them before they get the chance.

Ben Emlyn-Jones live at New Horizons St Annes 4

I'm pleased to say that I'm going back to Lytham St Annes, one of my favourite places in the world, and not just for Probe in March now. I'm presenting a live lecture at New Horizons St Annes, hopefully followed by a Q&A. The date will be Monday the 5th of February. The venue will be the Community Centre on St Albans Road in Lytham St Annes, FY8-1XD (next door to the YMCA centre) Lancashire, see: http://www.newhorizonsstannes.com/this_year.htm. The event begins at 7.30PM and costs just £3, including refreshments. My lecture will be entitled: A Peak into Where your TV Licence Fee Goes. Details: "Ben Emlyn-Jones takes a close look at one of the world's biggest media platforms. The BBC claims to be a vehicle to entertain and educate the people, but in reality it is a mind control operation designed to demoralize, confuse and mislead us. The signs are all there, with the recent sexual abuse scandal involving some of its biggest stars, the content of its broadcasts and even in the architecture of its headquarters."
This will be my fourth appearance at New Horizons St Annes, see here for a film of the last time I was there: http://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.co.uk/2016/08/ben-emlyn-jones-live-at-new-horizons-st.html.

Goodbye RMS

The saddest episode of the St Helena Airport affair (so far) has dawned. I have been covering this subject for several years now, see the background links below, and explained how before the airport was built, the island's only regular link to the outside world was provided by a ship, the RMS St Helena. Named after the island she serves, the RMS was built in Aberdeen in 1989 and entered service in 1990. She is one of only four ships in the world that carries the title "Royal Mail Ship" because one of her roles is to deliver the mail to St Helena. The RMS was a purpose-built vessel which very unusually doubles up as a cargo carrier and passenger liner. She has a vast hold into which virtually all the supplies the people of St Helena ever use are crammed; food, machinery, fuel, medical equipment and drugs, and almost anything else you can think of. Along with this are facilities to carry up to 156 passengers in perfect comfort. There are plush cabins, well-furnished lounges, a restaurant, swimming pool, gym and a sick bay with a fully-qualified doctor always on board. In this way she is similar to a cruise liner and the voyages can last up to a week so such creature comforts are necessary. Up until now the only practical way to reach St Helena was by travelling on the RMS and the ship also was the only way the Saints could leave their homeland and see the rest of the world. The importance of the RMS as St Helena's sole lifeblood was made obvious a few years ago when the ship broke down and her voyage was delayed until she could be repaired. There was widespread fear on the island as supplies ran low. The trip to St Helena from the RMS' passenger terminal in Cape Town, South Africa is five to six days. This is almost a uniquely extreme level of remoteness in the modern world. When she arrives at the island there is no dock and she drops anchor off the coast to transfer her load of people and goods to shore by a smaller boat.

Voyage number 268, the final departure of the RMS, began this afternoon in Cape Town. There have been several "final voyages" before, but the ship had to remain in service afterwards because of delays in the construction of the airport. This did make me happy I must admit. However, the airport is now open and so the stay of execution for the RMS has been lifted. This really is the final voyage. When the ship put to sea it was a grand ceremonial moment. A large crowd gathered to watch, including local dignitaries who presented mementoes to the crew and passengers. A Scottish band played bagpipes and marched back and forth. A fireboat saluted the RMS with its hoses. The ship's whistle sounded multiple times as the vessel eased herself away from the wharf, aided by a tugboat. The passengers threw confetti down from the decks and the well-wishers on the dockside waved banners and flags. Source: https://twitter.com/STHELENANEWS1?lang=en. I have been following the RMS' progress on MarineTraffic.com, see: https://www.marinetraffic.com/. On Monday she will arrive at St Helena. From there she will head for Ascension Island on the first of February, arriving on the third. (Her last visit to Tristan da Cunha was on the fourth of January). After an overnight stay she will return to the island that bears her name for the last time. I expect there will be a major celebration and an outpouring of emotion on the sixth of February when she puts in. The Saints will want to pay tribute to their faithful guardian of the seas, but also lament the loss of a central part of their world that they loved so much. It will be symbolic of the changes made by the airport and that awareness may well hit home very suddenly and painfully as a result. I wonder if any of them will rethink some of the points I have made in this series. The RMS' final call at St Helena will last four days; then she will set sail for the last time for the five day journey south to Cape Town where her final mission will terminate. Her future after that is uncertain. The RMS has been listed by the London shipbrokers Eggar Forrester and their subsidiary CW Kellock and Co for sale, see: https://www.eggarforresterships.com/sale-and-purchase. Will anybody buy her? If not then she will sadly be passed on to breakers for scrap. Then the proud and loyal RMS St Helena will be no more. A film maker has produced a documentary about the RMS called The Last Farewell, see: http://www.reachbacksthelena.com/product/the-last-farewell-dvd/. Another ship, a conventional freighter called MV Helena, will supply the island in the future; but, of course, all passenger access will be by air, landing at St Helena Airport after a few hours flight in a plane seat.
Some HPANWO readers generously suggested a crowdfunding campaign to send me to St Helena where I can report directly from the island I have talked so much about but never visited. I'm grateful for the offer, but in truth I really don't want to go there if I have to fly. I want to travel to St Helena by sea and no amount of crowdfunding could stretch to chartering a seagoing ship for me. Despite all the obvious answers to the question, I can't help asking it: Why? The building of the airport is, of course, "progress!"; the RMS is no longer needed because of that progress. However the very word implies that progress can only be a good thing and it can have no down sides. I am the kind of person who would keep something that contradicted all sound economic sense and practical reason simply because of the qualities the RMS has; beauty, dignity, loyalty, identity, pride, and a sense of adventure in a world that is becoming ever more uniform, prosaic and finite. Can these things really not be balanced with technological advancement? If not then should technological advancement always win by default? Why can't the emotional and ideological ever outweigh cold and ruthless pragmatism? These are the questions I have tried to address in this series. I shall continue to do so because the passing of the RMS does not mean the end of this series. St Helena will have many more changes to enjoy... and endure... in the months and years ahead and I will be covering these as and when they happen. However, for now, this very modern tragedy is all I can think about, and I doubt if I am alone there.

Capel Green- Review by Col. Charles Halt

Col. Charles I Halt USAF (ret), former deputy base commander of the Woodbridge-Bentwaters airbase in 1980, and witness to the Rendlesham Forest UFO, has written a de facto review of the upcoming documentary Capel Green; see here for background: http://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.co.uk/2018/01/capel-green-official-trailer.html. It took the form of an open letter to the director Dion Johnson, as reported by Sacha Christie who has come out of her very public retirement from UFOlogy... for the second or third time. There is a massive amount to unpack in her newest screed; most of it concerns matters that I have spoken about before so there is no need to repeat myself; simply study the Larry Warren database I have created in the links below. Col. Halt wrote his letter after Dion wrote to him asking him to comment on Larry's polygraph test. The colonel responded thus:
Dion.
I hate to tell you but you are being had.  Suggest you read The Halt Perspective before getting egg on your face. For starters Mr Warren has lied about his involvement on the first night (the events unfolded over three nights). He was not present with us at the site the third night. There were no entities or a physical craft on the ground. The event on the first night occurred in the forest. The night I was out with a team what we witnessed was not at the site Mr Warren claims. Mr Warren was separated from the US Air Force as unsuitable/undesirable for the convenience of the government. In other words, kicked out. His testimony has changed through the years as he's learned details from real participants. He's asked several of his former associates to lie to support him (this is documented). Every serious researcher has written him off as a very convincing liar; even his mother made a comment to that effect. Talk to any other serious researcher (I can give you many names), other than Gary Heseltine who is using him and you'll get the truth. Even Peter Robbins who really wrote the book Left at the East Gate will verify the facts. Several years ago Mr Warren claimed to have passed a voice stress analysis. Guess what, I have documented proof he failed.  He may have passed a polygraph session but do your homework there are multiple ways to beat the test. You might ask Mr Robbins about his fraud activity and association with Operation Bullpen. Your case and problem. Do not use my name, memo or tape. By the way, the original whistleblowers were cops named J D Engles and Jim Penniston who told of the events to the authors of Sky Crash. Even though they didn't get the story right they started the ball rolling.
Chuck Halt

Again, a lot of what Col. Halt says here I have addressed before in the database. However he does posit some new positions. He claims that there are multiple ways to beat the polygraph test. It's true there are techniques that people such as intelligence officers and special forces soldiers are taught as part of their general resistance to interrogation training that can possibly slip through a poorly-conducted polygraph test, up to a certain point. However polygraph tests vary in quality and the one Larry took for the production is the best and most modern on offer. This was no backstage job with Jeremy Kyle. (The UFO community has been targeted over false claims about polygraph tests before, see: http://hpanwo-tv.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/confessions-of-alien-abductee-aftermath.html and: http://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/bbc-conspiracy-road-trip-ufos.html) What's more it is extremely unlikely that Larry has ever had the training necessary that Col. Halt refers to. If polygraphs were that easy to beat then they would be evidentially useless and would never be brought in at all. It interests me that, once again, we see a pundit effectively reviewing Capel Green a long time before the film has been released and its full package of evidence tabled. This is a strange back-to-front world we're living in, where people review movies before they've hit the screens. Does this mean that straight after I have seen Capel Green I will walk out into the foyer and see a poster for it and say: "That looks an interesting film; I wonder what it's like."?

Sacha herself makes some additional new errors that I must address. Nobody, least of all Gary Heseltine, is trying to "repackage" the Rendlesham Forest Incident. This is similar to what Nick Pope suggested and I can assure you it is false. I would ask Col. Halt, Nick Pope and everybody else not to comment further on the content of Capel Green until they have watched it. Sacha also says something else at the end of her article that is most interesting: "No, we can't believe the police won't do anything about it either, but they say it isn't a direct threat and it wasn't sent to me. They use the lack of police action as some kind of proof of his innocence." This is the first time she has quoted the police response to her complaint. She has been saying for a long time that this was a direct threat against her. It was Gary, myself and other researchers who stated that Larry's declaration that if his family were in the audience and under threat by a general individual then he would jump off the stage and "put their windpipe through their spine!" was not a threat; it was a statement of intent to employ the lawful use of force. This means the police told Sacha the same thing we have all along, and now she has admitted it. Why is the lack of police action not proof of innocence? If it were otherwise would that not defeat the entire purpose of the police? Threats of violence against a specific person are a very serious matter and the police would be compelled to act under the law if Larry were not innocent. Like Peter Robbins, Sacha is wasting her time trying to resurrect this old chestnut yet again.
