Mystery Soda Machine Vanishes

The famous mystery drinks dispenser has disappeared. This enigmatic landmark in Seattle, USA has been enchanting tourists and locals since the late 1990's. There were endless theories about how it got there and who keeps it going, but never an answer. Then one day in 2018 the sun rose on the Capitol Hill district to find the machine gone. This happened when there was some essential maintenance work being done with the pavement on which it stands; however the menders claim they are not responsible for its disappearance. Broadway Locksmiths told the media that the machine had to be removed "with care and on purpose" because of the work going on with the pavement; however they did not state that they themselves did it. As I explain in the background link above, the locksmith has always denied any involvement with the machine. Fans of the machine were obviously very sad and there were some claims on social media that it had reappeared elsewhere; some were humourous, showing the machine standing at a number of famous tourist spots like Las Vegas and Machu Pichu. There is a video by somebody called "Amara In Seattle" in which she finds another machine that is very similar. It is of a more modern design, but it has the same 75 cent universal price and some "?MYSTERY?" buttons. It appears to be in somebody's garden. There is only one clue, a sticker put on the railings behind the bare spot where the machine once stood saying: "Went for a walk". So the mystery endures even though the source of it does not. Will it return? If so why and how? If it doesn't, the same questions apply. Maybe this whole saga is indicative of changes going on in the structure of the universe, a bit like the Mandela effect. It makes me wonder, how many other changes are waiting in the wings and how extreme will they be?
