Since the rest of the election race was ended I'm pleased to say that the GOP has also won the House of Representatives. The count is still going on, for some reason. There are still unprocessed votes that need to be added, but the Republicans have crossed the threshold of 217 seats by one to make 218. The Democrats currently are on 212. The Republicans are leading in four of the five pending constituencies. So it looks like Donald Trump is going to start his second presidency with a friendly Congress, which will help, as I explain in the background link. This means he has a clean sweep; or a Grand Slam, as they say in the Six Nations Rugby tournament. He's won everything there is to win and done so by a big margin. In my view, as regular readers know and as much as a non-American has a right to comment, this is a good thing.
