The Tunguska Event- 100 Years Ago Today!

A hundred years ago today, one of the biggest explosions ever to have hit the Earth took place. In the darkest corner of the Siberian forest a blast as powerful as 30 megatons leveled 830 square miles of forest. The Earth rang like a bell and it was felt by seismographers all over the world. It was always thought to be an asteroid or cometary impact, but when scientists got to study it in more detail, some strange anomalous evidence arose.

Because of its location, in a remote and uninhabited area, and because of the political turmoil in Russia at the time, it wasn’t until 1921 that the newly-formed Soviet Academy of Science sent an expedition to visit the explosion zone itself. The expedition leader, Leonid Kulik, was expecting to find an impact crater where the object struck the Earth, with fragments of the meteorite buried in it, but found nothing except a 30 mile wide area of devastated blown-down trees and new young trees growing between them. At “ground zero” a few bare tree trunks were left stranding with all their branches and bark stripped off. He was forced to conclude that the object must have exploded in the air when it hit a denser air pocket pulverizing it and scattering its fragments beyond reach, but somehow that didn’t feel right to him, or to many others. To this day, the Tunguska Event is still a mystery.

Kulik lived before the invention of the nuclear bomb (some would therefore call him very lucky!). If he hadn’t then he might have seen that what happened at Tunguska had the hallmarks of a nuclear explosion. The tree trunks left standing upright at ground zero, the signs of a sudden and powerful heat flash that caused instant combustion. The same kind of data can be found at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. There were some eyewitnesses too. It is thought no human was killed by the explosion because it hit in such a remote area, but people in the surrounding towns and villages saw and heard it. Listen to what one of them had to say:

“We had a hut by the river with my brother Chekaren. We were sleeping. Suddenly we both woke up at the same time. Somebody shoved us. We heard whistling and felt strong wind. Chekaren said, 'Can you hear all those birds flying overhead?' We were both in the hut, couldn't see what was going on outside. Suddenly, I got shoved again, this time so hard I fell into the fire. I got scared. Chekaren got scared too… it became mighty bright, how can I say this? As if there was a second sun, my eyes were hurting, I even closed them… The morning was sunny, there were no clouds, the Sun was shining brightly as usual, and suddenly there came a second one!”

Chuchan of the Shanyagir tribe.

The “second sun” sounds just like descriptions of the incredibly bright light of a nuclear explosion. But this was in 1908! Decades before the Bomb was invented… by humans. What if it was an explosion caused by,,, non humans? This was published in The Sibr newspaper on the 2nd of July 1908:

"’On the 17th of June (30th of June by our calender), around 9 AM, we observed an unusual natural occurrence. In the N Karelinski village (200 verst N of Kirensk) the peasants saw to the North-West, rather high above the horizon, some strangely bright (impossible to look at) bluish-white heavenly body, which for 10 minutes moved downwards. The body appeared as a "pipe", i.e. a cylinder. The sky was cloudless, only a small dark cloud was observed in the general direction of the bright body. It was hot and dry. As the body neared the ground (forest), the bright body seemed to smudge, and then turned into a giant billow of black smoke, and a loud knocking (not thunder) was heard, as if large stones were falling, or artillery was fired. All buildings shook. At the same time the cloud began emitting flames of uncertain shapes. All villagers were stricken with panic and took to the streets, women cried, thinking it was the end of the world.’ The author of these lines was meantime in the forest about 6 verst N of Kirensk, and heard to the NE some kind of artillery barrage, that repeated in intervals of 15 minutes at least 10 times. In Kirensk in a few buildings in the walls facing north-east window glass shook."

This sounds like a UFO sighting! Could the Tunguska Event have been caused by a UFO? This is the hypothesis of the book The Fire Came By by Thomas Atkins, John Baxter and Issac Asimov. They speculate that the UFO was experiencing catastrophic technical problems and knew that it was about to blow up. So the crew piloted it to a place where the explosion could do the least damage. That was charitable of the aliens; they knew that they were doomed, but still thought of us during their death-throes. Thanks, guys. There are other theories too, ones linked to strange experiments being carried out at the same time by the electrical genius Nikola Tesla. This theory was first proposed in the Repairman Jack novels by F. Paul Wilson, but has since been brought out into the non-fiction realm as a serious theory.

This is a long and engaging subject, but I hope I’ve introduced you to it well and encouraged you to look further. Here’s a good place to begin your further studies: Listen to a reconstruction of the sound of the blast itself!: http://planetologia.elte.hu/1cikkeke.phtml?cim=tunguska.html

London to Brighton in 4 Minutes

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7GXWuTwkF8

This short film was made in 1953 to act as an interlude, a quick TV spot that could be used to fill in when there was nothing else to broadcast, in case of lapses in the schedule, cancellations, technical problems etc. It has a hypnotic quality and might be able to produce an altered state of consciousness if watched enough times. It's really cool if you turn down the sound and listen to this song as the soundtrack!: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MzShg7yXik , something I've wanted to do since I first saw the film and listened to the song when I was a kid, years before the advent of YouTube. It's also fun to follow the train's journey on Google Earth or Get-a-Map: http://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/oswebsite/getamap/ . The London to Brighton railway and its surrounding landmarks have not changed much in the last 55 years, as you can see from the more recent remakes.

Of course when someone made the first 4-minute film somebody no doubt already had plans to break its record with a faster one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fRgP-xgrdk&feature=related and a yet faster one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Pn4LjnZ-fs

The Modern Emperor of Zimbabwe

Robert Mugabe, the leader of a so-called "independent" African nation is still in his seemingly immovable power-slot. In his 1999 interview with David Icke ( http://www.davidickebooks.co.uk/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=19 ), Credo Mutwa revealed that Mugabe is a descendant of the line of the ancient Zimbabwe Empire, in other words he is part of the African branch of the Illuminati! His great-grandfather was one of the biggest names in the 19th Century slave trade too. He came to power after General Tongo Gara, the leader of the rebellion against Ian Smith's government, was conveniently assassinated just after their victory. One of his first actions as president was to invade the southeastern county of Matabeleland and kill as many of the people as possible by locking them in their houses and setting them on fire! Credo says this happens over and over again all over Africa. A rebellion is led by a genuine man of humble origins who gets killed just after his job is done, to make way for someone else from an ancient royal bloodline to rule as a fascist dictator.
It makes the concept of "independance and home rule" something of a sick joke. Links to the ruling nobility can be found in the leaders of other former colonies outside Africa, including the United States. George W Bush is related to the Queen closely enough to be traced by Burke's Peerage!

Happy Anniversary, Gordon Brown!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7476703.stm

The Labour candidate in the Henley by-election was completely trashed on the first anniversary of Gordon Brown's ascendancy to Number 10. Labour scored several hundred votes less than the British National Party and only twice as much again as the Monster Raving Loonies!

This may be a kick in the teeth for Brown's Labour Party, but not for the New World Order agenda. As I've said before many times: presidents and prime ministers are merely public-relations officers. The real power comes from the unelected elite who pull their strings secretly, like puppeteers behind the scenes. Democracy is a projected illusion to make us think we are free and therefore keep us in line. If Brown goes then David Cameron will probably take his place, but nothing will change.

"Back from the dead" Baby

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/7473109.stm
This is amazing and wonderful! Of course the baby is not out of the woods yet, but the fact that she’s still fighting is glorious. She is very close to my heart because she was brought to my hospital and I attended the crash call personally. Due to my code of confidentiality I can’t tell you any details of what happened, but I’ll keep you all posted to any news stories on the subject.

What makes it all the more special is that just yesterday I was discussing a similar incident that happened many years ago on ATS: http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread357355/pg1 (15th post down; I am Hagbard Celine).

Ghost in Car Accident

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjWQcT4qGUU&feature=related

This is a camera recording of an unusual and spooky road traffic accident in Portugal involving a ghost. It's worth watching it all to get a handle on the three people involved, but the really interesting bit begins four minutes into the vid. It's interesting how when Theresa gets into the car, the camera starts going fuzzy. Despite the title of the vid, I'm not convinced that it is real.

More UFO's Reported in the Midlands!

There have been some more news reports of major UFO sightings in recent weeks. I would normally feel ashamed to buy The Sun, but I did when I saw the front page headline: ARMY SPOT UFO’S OVER SHROPSHIRE! The incident took place the night before the Welsh sighting I mention below, on June the 7th at 11pm. It was a fleet of up to 13 cube-shaped craft that zigzagged over the Tern Hill Barracks near Market Drayton. They were spotted by three of the soldiers there and one of them, Cpl Mark Proctor, filmed them with his phone cam. He made a report and has been told by MoD officials not to say anything more about it. Nick Pope (who attended the Now That’s Weird Conference at the weekend: http://hpanwo.blogspot.com/2008/06/now-thats-weird-conference-2008.html ) was quoted in a column of the story as saying that “The time has come for a proper inquiry”. Cpl Proctor described the UFO’s as “rotating cubes with multiple colours”. Amazingly, this sighting is not only corroborated by the two other soldiers with Proctor but by a couple driving along the A5 near Shrewsbury. They claim to have seen a similar sight at the same time. The story goes on! Last Friday a woman called Bonnie Lewis was out, proverbially walking her dog, when she saw a group of cylindrical objects over Bromsgrove, Staffordshire. Like Proctor she managed to film them.

Are we seeing the start of a flap here? Keep watching the skies! It's good to see that the Tern Hill sighting, a completely military one, was released to the press without ado. This shows a change in policy at the MoD, probably encouraged by the archive declassification (See: http://hpanwo.blogspot.com/2007/12/british-ufo-files-declassified.html and http://hpanwo.blogspot.com/2008/05/more-british-ufo-files-released.html ). Maybe this is the reason why we're seeing so many UFO-related stories in the news at the moment. This would mean that sightings like these happen all the time; we just don't get to hear about them!

On this page you can watch UFO footage and also vote as to whether you believe in alien life: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/ufos/article1336870.ece . I’m encouraged to see that, at the time of writing, 81% say “YES” and only 14% saying “NO” with 5% undecided. The Currant Bun still can't resist having a chuckle though! They've got a cartoon on the same inside page as the main story showing a UFO with a green alien aboard and a Shell garage below it; the caption reads: "Saucer fleet to mother ship... abandon Earth landing... fuel too expensive on this planet!"
