but its failure it has led him to become a bit of a skeptic. I think he's being
premature in that respect. As I explain in my article about AWARE, it was
unlikely to give definitive results from the start because of practicalities.
The conditions were inevitably insecure by the very nature of what was being
studied. Flatliners is not real; you
cannot actually kill people under laboratory conditions unless you're Josef
Mengele. Dr Parnia is not giving up on near-death experience research, but he
is currently exploring a materialistic spin-off about sensory awareness during
death and, pretty scarily, after
death. It has been discovered from various experiments that just before death
there is a huge spike in brain activity. This occurs after all other
neurological functions have ceased. This could involve the senses. Despite what
you see in the movies, most people's eyes close when they die, so sight would
not be a significant burden, however your hearing would be a living... only
just... nightmare. You might even be able to listen to resuscitation doctors announcing

This would be a terrifying experience, but luckily it would not last long. The
spike in EEG signals eventually ceases and the brain enters its terminal
shutdown. You would certainly not be around when your body is cremated or buried.
I have not looked it up yet, but I have no doubt skeptics like Susan Blakmore will
claim that this terminal surge in brain activity explains the near-death
experience phenomenon. From reading detailed reports of NDE's I currently find
that implausible, but I'm interested to look further.

Agreed Ben. Materialist scientists are forever trying to explain away the possibility of life after death. Do you know who knows better? The NWO is who! I believe there is a misconception that the NWO is atheist (or whatever); on the contrary, they are as aware or more aware as anyone as to the spiritual dimension.
They are, Laurence, in their own Satanic way. It seems that they used to use off-the-shelf organized religions to control us, but now they combine those with militant "New" atheism and the skeptic movement. Have you seen my Skeptics video? You'll enjoy that. The truth of spirituality is indeed suppressed in a surprisingly similar way to that of the extraterrestrial intelligence.
