In 2022 I reported on how our very own HPANWO Radio was affected
by the electronic voice phenomenon. In episode 126 of Third Rail Radio an
example suddenly appeared on the recording, see: https://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.com/2022/10/evp-on-third-rail.html.
I had it analyzed by a friend of mine who is an audio engineer in the world of cinema
and he concluded that a part of it was something strange, see: https://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.com/2023/04/third-rail-evp-update.html.
I came up with another example on HPANWO TV, but that mysteriously vanished
from the recording once it was uploaded, see: https://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.com/2023/03/hpanwo-tv-evp.html.
Now I have discovered another example. It is also on Third Rail and, interestingly,
it is a few weeks earlier than the original, in programme 121, see: https://hpanwo-radio.blogspot.com/2022/06/third-rail-radio-programme-121.html
(If you don't want to sign up for a Spreaker account you can listen or download
it on the Archive.org link). This time I do not remember hearing anything while
I was recording with Trevor. The only reason I spotted it was because I was
reviewing that show for another unrelated reason. There is more than one
example on the track this time. Ironically, the part of the show affected most
is where we discuss the strange case of a young Mexican girl who has her
imaginary friend recorded on a telephone call. The EVP's appear at 1:01:40 , 1:06:14 ,
1:15:06 , 1:18:00 and 1:26:47 .
I've found one example earlier in the show and I'll keep searching for more. The
nature of these sound anomalies and the recording conditions are similar to the
original in Programme 126. Because we have a larger data set this time we can
perhaps find out more. For instance, in only one of the six instances are
Trevor and I both talking together, so it is unlikely to be a case of
microphone gain or feedback. The examples are all only a handful of seconds
long and take the form of a highly distorted voice, in some cases it is almost
masked and no vowels can be heard, only consonants and noise. I hear no intelligible
words at all. Unlike the HPANWO TV example, it is impossible to say what kind
of voice it is. I don't think it sounds like my own or Trevor's, but I can't be
totally sure because the quality is too low. We will probably never find out
completely because one thing my friend who did the analysis said was, always keep
the original recording; in this case a file from the Skype house recorder and
the backup free stereo recorder. The programme was produced so long ago that I have
disposed of them. However, if there is any new information I will post an
update.

Maybe Gareth, Kev or Shirley are trying to make contact with you. Especially Gareth, as it is exactly the sort of thing he would try and do.
ReplyDeleteHi Snarnok. It's very possible. It's interesting the anomaly has occurred on the episode where the subject on EVP came up.
