There is a large amount of documentary material about Bob
Lazar, numerous videos and books dating back almost thirty-five years. Lazar
has written his own book, see: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dreamland-Bob-Lazar/dp/0578437058.
I myself have also covered the recent biopic by Jeremy Corbell, see: https://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.com/2018/12/bob-lazar-area-51-and-flying-saucers.html
and: https://hpanwo-tv.blogspot.com/2018/12/bob-lazar-movie-livestream.html.
What we have yet to see is a fictionalized feature film. When you think about
it, that is a curious oversight. Surely the interest exists for such a
production to be a box office smash hit. Successful films have been made about
other rogue insiders like Julian Assange and Edward Snowden. I'm not the only
one this has occurred to because somebody on YouTube has created a fan trailer.
It is what a trailer for a film about Bob Lazar might look like. It consists of
some originals mixed with documentary fictionalizations; also library footage
of JANET aeroplanes and desert landscapes. There is also some CGI imagery. It
is very well edited. When I first saw it I thought there really was a Bob Lazar
movie coming out soon. Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRE7BJTQm3w.
I do hope somebody does make a fictional film about Bob Lazar. In the comments section
viewers are debating which actor should play Bob. I thought maybe Kevin Bacon
when he was younger, like he looked in Flatliners
or Footloose. Realistically, Cillian
Murphy looks right and is close to the correct age right now. As for writers
and directors; I think the Wakowskis could do a good job, or maybe one of the
more arty types like Denis Villeneuve and Christopher Nolan. I would love to
see Vin Diesel play Dennis Mariani.

I think you greatly overestimate the number of people who have even heard of Bob Lazar. He can't be compared with Julian Assange who is a global household name or with Edward Snowden, a household name in the USA at least.
ReplyDeleteIt is worth noting that Assange and Snowden made their revelations at some cost to themselves, although Snowden landed on his feet and is probably glad to be in Russia at this point. Bob Lazar doesn't seem to have been troubled too much by the state and seems to live very comfortably from his business selling fireworks and dangerous chemicals. It is difficult to judge how credible he is. I suspect he did have some association with Area 51 and did see or hear about some craft but then embellished his account with extra details. I think if he had been a key player in antigravitic or ZPE research he would have been silenced completely.
Hi GM. I have mixed feelings about your second paragraph. As for your first one: Of course BL is not quite at the same level as the other two, but Hollywood as made very lucrative films about cases of a similar scale. Example being Roswell by Paul Davids and the conspiratorial themes in films like ID4. I'm sure they could do the same with BL.
