Things have changed since I wrote the above article. Miles has relegated me from host to stage manager. He has decided to substitute me with Buckso Dhillon-Woolley the glamourous actress... I mean WHY!? Actually this is not bad news for me. Being host is very involved and requires high concentration. As much as I enjoy it, I have a busy couple of months coming up and so maybe I'll be happier relaxing during the two days. Stage manager means arranging for the Bases Project stage, gallery and other equipment to be rigged in the venue by the end of Friday night. This is physically demanding, but not very stressful; and we always go for a drink and curry afterwards. So I'm still very much looking forward to the upcoming Bases Summer Seminars 2025.
