Up Yours, Blair!

Tony Blair, the former Prime Minister and former chairman... sorry, chairperson... of the Fabian Society, has stooped to a new low. I didn't think I could possibly loathe him more than I already did. Blair, after lying to the public to start a war in the Middle East which he boasts "only killed one hundred thousand people," has given a speech to the Open Britain campaign group which would win the greatest accolade for Remoaning, if such an award is ever devised. Source: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-38996179. (If you've got the stomach for it, here's a recording of the full speech: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOqMfKAM9Bo). For me Blair is the epitome of the new left. He claims to "support democracy" with two exceptions; when it's not being practiced by a useful Third World despot, and when it doesn't go his way on the home front. Then he favours dictatorship. He says that "I want to be explicit... the will of the people should prevail..." yet his commitment to democracy means he plans to ride roughshod all over the European Union Referendum Act of 2015, the result of the 2016 EU Referendum itself and now the Article 50 Bill of 2017, see: http://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.co.uk/2017/02/mps-back-brexit-now-shut-up-and-do-it.html. In his speech he patronizes the Leave voters. When you take away his prevaricating flannel he is telling people like me we never really knew what we were doing. We were too stupid to understand the real issues involved. This is despite the fact that both sides in the campaign worked very hard to educate the electorate of this. There was even Cameron's infamous leaflet, see: http://hpanwo-tv.blogspot.co.uk/2016/04/david-camerons-leaflet.html. It was the centre of attention on every news programme and political analytical show on TV and radio. Blair now claims he can "persuade" us to change our minds. The good news is, I think his credibility being what it is, his speech today was the last nail in the coffin for the Remoaners. I don't like using swear words on HPANWO, so I'll just have to end the article here...

  1. Agreed Ben, the conceitedness of Blair is incredible. I have a personal interest here, as Blair was very influential in Irish politics; to this day, the tone of the Dáil is decidedly Blairite (i.e. a toxic soup of cunning, deviousness, self-interest, and extreme political correctness). It bothers me that the scumbag is still getting a hearing in England, only in-so-far as the unbearable shills in the Irish MSM are 'virtue signalling' left, right, and centre at the moment and don't need any more encouragement.

  2. Laurence, I only hope his lack of credibity precedes him and it all backfires. I think the UK has learnt from the tragedy of Ireland, and it's fate under Blair and his equivalent over the water, Peter Sutherland.

  3. Here in Ireland we thought the British were finished as a nation (under the EU-Blairite nexus) but you proved us wrong, as have the decent skins of the US. The Anglo-sphere, the birthplace of political correctness, it would seem, was the first to ditch the revolting ideology of Cultural Marxism but not, sadly, before infecting terminally the former land of Saints and Scholars.

  4. I'm glad it gives you hope. It's not all over for Ireland or any other country.
